How to Customize WordPress WAF Rules

  1. First, log in to your HeatShield account and click the WordPress button to see an overview of all WordPress sites that you've connected to HeatShield.
  2. Select the name of the WordPress site where you want to customize WAF rules.
  3. If the WAF is not enabled, you will need to enable it. Once it's enabled, select the Show Rules link to customize your rules and follow the instructions in the sections below.

Enable or Disable Entire Rule Groups

If you'd like to enable an entire group of rules, simply click the On button next to the rule group(s) you wish to enable in the Status column. To disable an entire rule group, click the Off button next to the group(s) you would like to disable in the Status column.

Enable or Disable Individual Rules

To enable or disable individual rules rather than an entire rule group, click on the name of the rule group which contains the individual rules you want to modify. To disable a rule, click the Off button next to the rule. To enable a rule, click the On button next to the rule.
